Did you hear this sound?
This year, as every year at SEEDS, we rolled up our sleeves and jumped into action during the warmer months cleaning the coasts of Reykjanes peninsula alongside the Blue Army, led by one of the most charismatic people that most of us had the chance to meet - Tómas! (Some even say that if you’re lucky enough, you might as well hear one of the many awesome stories he has to tell!)
During our environmental awareness camps at SEEDS, we try to combine our efforts to get rid of the trash that many years ago was thrown in the ocean, ending up on the Icelandic coasts. Fishing nets, old buoys and remnants of plastic boxes make up a landscape not known to nature's eye, but unfortunately, known to us.
As nature tried to reclaim what’s theirs, new life emerged around, in and under the plastic, the rubber, and the suffocating nylon, as they themselves have accepted their fate.
