SEEDS' Objectives
SEEDS promote the values of tolerance, equality, acceptance, justice, freedom and mutual respect for human life and nature. Empowering, informing and expanding the perspectives of people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to become aware of the world in which we live and take an active role in its future development is at the heart of the organisation. SEEDS provides opportunities to live, learn, understand and experience whilst cooperating and sharing with others from different backgrounds.
SEEDS' objectives are to:
- Facilitate the access of young people to volunteering projects which effect positive societal, cultural and environmental changes
- Create safe, accessible spaces and opportunities for intercultural exchange, international dialogue and cooperation
- Support the development and improvement of personal, educational, social, professional, cultural and creative thinking skills
- Ensure diversity, inclusion and representation in the groups of volunteers we support as well as the organisations we cooperate with and the themes and projects we focus on
- Ensure we practise social inclusion and equity, especially in supporting young people with fewer opportunities
- Promote volunteering as a powerful method of non-formal education and civic development
