Sjálfboðaliðasamtökin SEEDS senda reglulega hópa af íslenskum ungmennum til þátttöku í spennandi verkefnum með stuðningi Youth in action áætlunarinnar. Langar þig til að vera með í slíkum hópi?

Þar sem ungmennaskiptin njóta styrkja frá Evrópusambandinu greiða þátttakendur eingöngu hluta af ferðakostnaði (oftast um 30%) og fá frítt fæði og húsnæði meðan á verkefninu stendur. SEEDS tekur umsýslu- og þáttökugjald af þeim sem valdir verða til fararinnar hverju sinni.

SEEDS vinnur nú að skipulagningu verkefna fyrir árið 2013 en við munum m.a. senda hópa til Frakklands, Möltu, Ítalíu, Sviss og fjölda annara landa í Evrópu. Upplýsingar um ný verkefni munu verða sett inn á síðuna um leið og allar upplýsingar hafa borist.

"Report your Start!" - France

October 24 - 31, 2014.

 Theme/aim of the project:

This youth exchange will take place in Villeurbanne, in the surroundings of Lyon, and deals mainly with the topics of youth employability and inclusion, both at individual and national level. It will allow participants to talk about their realities, but also, with peer-learning process, to exchange point of view and advice to one another. Through artistic workshops, participants will have the opportunity to express themselves about these topics and to create an overview of their feelings, debates concerning these issues which will be spread to raise awareness in the 4 countries. Indeed, throughout the project, they will be accompanied to create a short film about the cultural diversity of young European at the beginning of their active life. In order to enhance their reflections about employability and inclusion, some meetings with the local population, visits and workshops with professionals from different fields will be offered.

The language of the youth exchange will be English.

Participating countries: France, Iceland, Estonia, Greece.

Number and age of participants: 5 young + 1 leader from each country, aged 18-30 years old.

Profile of the participants:

"Filmaker" - Romania

October 17 - 28, 2014.

Theme/aim of the project:

The project address to young people interested or passionate of film, photography, acting, writing screenplays, making films, having or not having experience in film making, that want to put in practice their abilities in an intercultural context,  interested in developing abilities and competencies for employability and entrepreneurship. The project addresses is unemployment among young people and specifically among young people with artistic and visual media skills and aspirations. Arts are very weak represented for young people on labor market in Europe, so talented young people come to be socially excluded. Young people with artistic and media skills and aspirations are not prepared for the labor market.

Objectives:

Developing skills for employability , entrepreneurship , personal development and audio / video , script writing and film making, by making 6 short intercultural films and 4 animated films to promote entrepreneurship and youth employment. Developing the international capacity of partner organizations from 7 European countries to support young people, by the intercultural youth exchange on media, entrepreneurship and employment topic and by developing a portfolio of 10 youth films.

At the final of the project the participants will receive a Youth Pass Certificate.

The language of the youth exchange will be English.

Participating countries: Romania, Italy, Iceland, Turkey, Spain, Estonia, Poland.

Number and age of participants: 7 young + 1 leader from each country, aged 16-30 years old.

Grundtvig - Active Senior, Greening Nature (50+) -  Adissan (Hérault), France

August 30 – September 19

Theme/aim of the project:

The aim of the project is to lead French and Icelanders seniors to participate in collective projects and gives the seniors the opportunity to have a European exchange experience on the theme of environmental awareness and sustainable lifestyles.Volunteers will be actively involve with the Adissan community, participating in environmental activates such as cleaning paths and riversides, the development of trails and an introduction to dry stone construction. In many aspects they will be involve in arrangement of an eco-festival , they will be part workshops such as exhibits awareness on the use of water in Iceland, eco-building for the festival’s infrastructures and a pre-preparation of culinary specialties. The volunteers will also take part in a photographic hike and participate in an artistic performance on a water tower.

During their free time, they will be able to enjoy of the richness of the region, their unique culture and their beautiful landscapes, which include seaside, vineyards, and the splendid Canal du Midi. Moreover. Volunteers will need to manage their time so they can benefit from countless cultural activates:  drama, fishing, wine tasting, among many other. Finally they will have the opportunity to learn some French.

The Goals of the project are:

  • Develop an active European citizenship
  • Environmental Awareness 
  • Reflect on alternative and sustainable models on how senior citizens can play a key role in the society
  • Promote intergenerational transfer of knowledge
  • Exchange of mutual experiences and competences

“Eco-Theater Growing Culture, Growing Europe” –  Torino, Italy

September 23 -  October 2, 2014.

Theme/aim of the project:

The youth exchange will focus on the knowledge of Environmental Issues by using Theatre to foster the relationships between young people and the European perception of ecology and environment education. The group of young people will working on the different perceptions of eco-culture, discovering cultural differences and sharing our ideas about nature and theater. You will spend your days working on theatre workshop focused on environmental subjects, discovering open air theater methods and creating a final performance that will be presented to the local community at the end of our work together.

The Goals of the project are:

developing awareness for Environmental Issues, encouraging conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle;

- to stimulate the exchange of knowledge and perceptions of Environmental Issues between different cultures;

- fostering theatre as a tool to promote ecology awareness at the European level;

- facilitate the meeting of young people from different European contexts, encouraging the exchange of views, experiences and ideas related to ecological culture;

The purpose of this youth exchange project is to make young Europeans meet to reflect on issues related to global environmental challenges, through interactive activities and non formal education methods.

The accommodation and food is provided by the hosting organisation during the project. The location of the Youth Exchange will be a great country house in the mountains near Turin, in Piedmont-Italy.

The language of the youth exchange will be English.

"Österlen and Europe - Local youth action for a sustainable world”  –  Sweden

Equality has no gender – Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal

August 25 – September 01, 2014.

 Theme/aim of the project: 

We decided to create an exchange where we can raise awareness for young people to combat this type of discrimination, actions and participate in the adoption of measures to end the inequalities and contribute to a fairer and more balanced society. The participants of our project are young people with economic difficulties and poor participation in the society where they live. It is intended that at the end of this exchange, they must have a more active participation in the society, which can reflect and create measures that meet the needs of the environment in which they live. During this program, all participants will have the opportunity to meet and be in contact with the community having the opportunity to analyze the differences and similarities between their culture and ours. Throughout the exchange, activities will be carried out on the basis of non-formal education through workshops that will work initially to identify the concept of "gender equality" and later give them the opportunity to know if the social role they play may or may not influence their socio-economic progress. Afterwards, activities and group dynamics aimed at identify and combat gender discrimination will be created. These activities will be registered using  photos and videos. In the end, all participants will have to make a compilation of all the material and hold an exhibition in our association, which will then be used as an evaluation record of our exchange.

The language of the youth exchange will be English.

“In and Out” –  Calnegre (Lorca, Murcia), Spain

Theme/aim of the project:

We think that this exchange can act like a spark in many  young people so they discover this type of activities as an alternative to their leisure time and encourage their motivation and interest in sports activities that are benefiting their physical and mental well-being and learn vital abilities they need and will need to overcome in an appropriate way the challenges which are going to appear in their lives. We are going to carry out different types of activities related to the main topics: sport and out-doors activities, protection of environment activities, presentations of the organisations, knowledge, confidence and intermolecular learning.

1. To create a safe space for youngsters from different backgrounds, gender, religion to experience the social values of outdoor and sport activities such as tolerance, respect, fair-play.

2. Equip young people with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to organize outdoor and sport activities for social inclusión.

3. Rise awareness about how outdoor and sport activities can contribute to healthy life.

“Melting Potes” –  Hamlet of Vaunières, France 

August 04 - 25, 2014

Theme/aim of the project:

Structured around a time of local festivals, these meetings were occasions for intercultural exchanges and promoted cultural diversity through artistic experiences. This project is once again this year an occasion to further interactions between people near and far, moving beyond stereotypes by the means of times of exchange of cultural identity and togetherness in creative projects and activities, as well as by collective living. In 2014, the choice was made to emphasize plastic creation along the theme of “early man.” The focus will be on folklore surrounding early man and linked to pagan rituals and to early forms of clothing. As the countries of Europe are rich in these traditions, participants will first be asked to share stories of the early humans of their own countries. Working off of the folklore, legends, and traditions of each person, the participants will invent modern rituals, an imaginary collective folklore. In addition to this they will create plastic installations on the theme of traditional figures of early humans to modern humans. These works will be products of everyone's individual input and will be presented during the festival.

Objectives:

• Cultural exchange, multicultural meet-ups, construction of European citizenship,

• Artistic discovery (creation of masks, costumes, etc.)

• Promotion of volunteering forms of civil engagement available to young people

• Discovery of rural life and communities, awareness of environmental preservation

„Reco-Operando „  –  Anora, (Cordoba) Spain  –  from June 30 to July 8, 2014

 Theme/aim of the project:

Involve young people actively participate in the construction of Europe, thereby responding to the needs expressed by our youth group. Carrying signs of our culture and the essence of our identity to others, learn to value the traditions and culture of other countries. The main theme is in this project that, the departments of culture, environment, education and sport are working jointly.

Objectives:

- Expand our training and acquire a range of knowledge within the field of non- formal education.

- Foster mutual understanding between young people from different countries, develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in particular in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union and other countries.

- Improving communication skills of young people, encouraging their formation and subsequent entry into the labour market.

- Encourage the use of new technologies, imagination and creativity as essential resources for future entrepreneurs.

- To publicise the new program ERASMUS + and all the opportunities it offers.

"Think twice, think wise" - Mamaia, Romania -  June 14th to June 21th, 2014

The aim of the project is to contribute to the change of participants’ consumption and behaviour patterns by reflecting upon the importance of environment protection, sustainable development and about the impact of our life styles and industry over the environment.

 - Learn about the impact and the consequences of their life styles and industry practices over the environment;

 - Develop methods to reach the local communities, both in Romania and their home countries, to make them aware of environmental issues;

"A Reason of Youth Unemployment " - Eskisehir, Turkey - March 2nd to March 9th, 2014

Theme/aim of the project: The main frame of the action 1.1 project titled “a Reason of Youth Unemployment – Job discrimination workshop” which is going to happen between the dates 02.03.2014 – 09.03.2014 in Eskisehir, Turkey by Anadolu University European Union Research, Practise and Documentation Center (ADOM) covered by Turkish National Agency is:   

- The concept of Human Rights and discrimination: main problems and awareness.

- The necessity of social excluded jobs in life: a prejudice that needs to be broken.

- The opportunities of learning different Europe countries perspective related to job families and create a common European consciousness.

- To create workshops and perform dramas related with the youth unemployment caused by job discrimination.

"A Journey To Human Values" - Erzurum, Turkey - February 17th to February 24th, 2014

Theme/aim of the project: A Journey to Human Values Project is written by Ubuntu Youth Community under Youth in Action 1.1 Youth Exchange Program. Themes of this Project are xenophobia, racism and islamifobia. Main goal of Project is to prevent discrimination, to educate participants against racism, and determining the causes of xenophobia. According to this goal, there will be workshops and activities against the racism.

"Love in Action" - Athens, Greece - February 11th to February 19th, 2014

Deadline for application: February 1st, 2014.

Theme/aim of the project: Through the thematic activities of the exchange, each of the different interpretations of love will manifest itself in correlation with active citizenship and the Youth in Action programme: love in relation to sexual orientation and respect of an active citizen towards sexual diversity; a genuine love and interest (or the rediscovery of it) in one’s community, public affairs and urban environment, affection and solidarity shown towards socially vulnerable groups; friendships formed and bonds developed between the European citizens participating in the exchange; hospitality as a form of host-visitor friendship and cultural exchange as a result of it, both being concepts that the Youth in Action programme has promoted throughout its implementation. During the exchange and through interactive sessions, experiential learning methods and a rich contact with various local organisations and activists, young participants will have the opportunity to reflect and share their views on the different dimensions of love, be creative and take on an active and positive role as citizens. In addition, participants will be given the opportunity to design an outdoor central action on Valentine's Day in order to communicate messages of love as a source of creativity and hope. Through their contact with citizens of Athens, they will try to help them re-evaluate their relationship with their city and fellow citizens. This action will also attempt to contribute towards the adoption of a positive attitude towards things as well as of a more active participation in social affairs. Given the difficult times people are experiencing and the feelings of frustration, disillusionment and negativity that have come as a result, this exchange will attempt to disseminate messages of positive thinking, solidarity, compassion and optimism. After all, love is all about giving and participating. So is active citizenship.

Participating countries: Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland and Italy

Number and age of participants: 5 participants from each country aged 18-25 years old

Costs/expenses: SEEDS has been awarded a grant for the project from the Youth in Action program, which will cover costs of board, lodging and 70% of the travel costs.

Financial support is given by the Greek National Agency within the European Commission’s programme “Youth in Action” (action 1.1) and follows the financial rules of the Programme Guide 2013.

The Youth Exchange offers: Travel costs from home to the venue of the project and return. (Economy class flight ticket, 2 nd class train ticket) 70% of eligible costs up to a maximum of 750 Euros (525 Euros) will be refunded.

Participants have to provide original invoices, boarding pass and tickets. Travelling by taxi cannot be refunded.

Applicants selected to join the project need to pay an administrative and registration-fee of 20.000 kr. to SEEDS.  If you apply and are not selected, you do not need to pay anything!  

This fee will not be refunded and can also not be reimbursed in case you have to cancel your trip.

 "New Year 4 New Europe" - Palermo, Sicily, Italy - December 27th to January 5th, 2014

Deadline for applications: November 20th, 2013.

Theme/aim of the project: "New Year 4 New Europe” aims to promote active citizenship and European awareness, focusing on the new EU youth programme “Erasmus Plus”, and to reflect on the benefits and impacts of the YiA programmes on young people's life and EU perception.

The participants will meet in Palermo to discuss their past experiences with EU projects and to deepen their knowledge about upcoming European programmes.

Through meetings, discussions, creative workshops, intercultural dialogue, as well as through meeting local NGOs, the participants will exchange ideas and perceptions about the EU and get the opportunity to discuss and draft concrete youth policies proposals to be presented to the EMPs after the 2014 European elections.

Finally, the participants will create a video containing their suggestions and proposals for new European youth policies.The project will also be the occasion for the teams to know more about the Italian traditions, especially about Christmas.

Costs/expenses:  SEEDS has been awarded a grant for the project from the Youth in Action program of the European Union, which will cover costs of board, lodging and 70% of the travel costs up to a maximum of 770 euros and upon presentation of all the proof of expenses (boarding passes, tickets and receipts of your travel from and to Capua) and 100% of their visa cost ( if coming from non EU countries).

Food, accommodation, insurance, will be covered by the hosting organization, InformamentisEuropa.

"Lead For A Reason" - Alcamo, Skiley, Ítalíu 17. - 23. apríl 2013

SEEDS sendi 2 íslensk ungmenni til þátttöku í þessu verkefni, ferðasaga og myndir eru væntanlegar.

Þema á markmið: Á þessu námskeiði munu hópar frá mismunandi löndum koma saman og þróa leiðtogahæfileika sína. Þátttakendur munu m.a. taka þátt í umræðum, ýmsum verkfnum og fá þjálfun í að leysa vandamál sem geta komið upp í hópavinnu. Markmið námskeiðsins er að auka sjálfstraust þátttakenda og gera þá í stakk búna til að leiða verkefni, t.d. á vegum ungmennáætlunar Evrópusambandsins, og skipuleggja einnig verkefni í þágu samfélagsins í sínum eigin heimalöndum.

Skilyrði til þátttöku: Umsækjendur verða á vera á aldrinum 18-30 ára og hafa gott vald á talaðri ensku.

Þátttökulönd auk Íslands: Ítalía, Grikkland, Frakkland, Eistland, Króatía og Lúxemborg

Aðstaða: Gist verður í svefnpokaplássum og þátttekendum verður raðað niður í herbergi.
Hitastig í Alcamo í apríl er um 17°C á daginn og 11°C á næturna. Þátttakendur ættu að taka með sér viðeigandi fatnað. Hægt er að finna upplýsingar fyrir ferðamenn á síðunni http://www.comune.alcamo.tp.it/. Ef þú talar ekki ítölsku þá mælum við með því að þú notfærir þér þýðingareiginleika Google Chrome.

Kostnaður: SEEDS hefur hlotið styrk til verkefnisins frá Youth in Action áætlun Evrópusambandsins og sér um allan kostnað við fæði og húsnæði. Þátttakendur fá 70% ferðakostnaðar endurgreiddan, þó að hámarki 500 evrum, þegar kvittunum, brottfararspjöldum og öðrum ferðagögnum hefur verið skilað eftir heimkomu.

Umsækjendur sem valdir verða til fararinnar greiða umsýslu og staðfestingargjald SEEDS sem er 20.000 kr. Gjaldið fæst ekki endurgreitt.

 


"Young Farmers Point" - Torre Pallavicina, Lombardy héraði, Ítalíu 21. - 29. júní 2013

SEEDS sendi 9 ungmenni til þátttöku í þessu verkefni, ferðasaga og myndir eru væntanlegar.

Þema og markmið: Þema þessara ungmennaskipta er landbúnaður og matvælaframleiðsla með nýsköpun, sjálfbærni og ábyrga framleiðslu að leiðarljósi. Þátttakendur munu kynna hvernig framleiðslu er háttað í sínum heimalöndum og eru hvattir til að koma með og kynna framleiðslu frá sínum eigin heimahögum auk þess sem öll þátttökulöndin munu bjóða upp á sýnishorn af sínum þjóðlega mat.

Á meðan verkefninu stendur munu þátttakendur m.a. heimsækja unga bændur á svæðinu og kynnast nýsköpun meðal bændarsamfélagsins á svæðinu. Þeir munu einnig taka þátt í vinnustofu þar sem geta prófað sig áfram í matvælaframleiðslu auk þess sem þeir munu hitta forsvarsmenn ýmsra samtaka sem vinna á þessum vettvangi.

Skilyrði til þátttöku: Umsækjendur verða á vera á aldrinum 18-25 ára og hafa gott vald á talaðri ensku. Þessi ungmennaskipti eru sérstaklega ætluð þeim sem hafa áhuga á nýsköpun og vöruþróun, sem og tæknilegum framförum, á sviði landbúnaðar og matvælaframleiðslu. Þátttakendur munu fá tækifæri til að miðla eigin reynslu og læra af öðrum sem stefna að sömu markmiðum.

Þátttökulönd auk Íslands: Ítalía, Ungverjaland og Rúmenía.

Aðstaða: Þátttakendur munu gista á farfuglaheimilinu Molino di Basso sem staðsett er í garðinum Parco Oglio Nord í Torre Pallavacina. Torre Pallavacina er rúmlega 1.000 manna bær sem staðsettur er í Lombardy héraði Ítalíu. Bærinn er staðsettur um 50 km austur af Mílano og 30 km suðaustur af Bergamo.

Kostnaður: SEEDS hefur hlotið styrk til verkefnisins frá Youth in Action áætlun Evrópusambandsins og sér um allan kostnað við fæði og húsnæði. Þátttakendur fá 70% ferðakostnaðar endurgreiddan, þó að hámarki 500 evrum, þegar kvittunum, brottfararspjöldum og öðrum ferðagögnum hefur verið skilað eftir heimkomu.

Umsækjendur sem valdir verða til fararinnar greiða umsýslu og staðfestingargjald SEEDS sem er 20.000 kr. Gjaldið fæst ekki endurgreitt.
