Documentary screening of "Against the Current"

On the 4th of July, we hosted another inspiring screening . This time, we shared the incredible story of endurance swimmer Sarah Ferguson, who set a world record.

The film  "Against The Current"  shows Sarah's journey as she attempts to become the first person to swim non-stop around Easter Island (Rapa Nui). The film highlights the unity of a global team and raises awareness about the pressing issue of plastic pollution.

Following the screening, we had an open discussion with our hosts, Maryke Musson, COO of Matorka, and Thröstur Thorsteinsson, a professor at the University of Iceland. Thank you both for sharing your insights and knowledge with us. It was amazing to have you at the event.

A huge thanks to Plastic Oceans for providing us with the documentary and to Norræna húsið (The Nordic House) for giving us the space to create this event. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who attended!
