Happy Ocean Day 

 

On this World Ocean Day, let's raise awareness about the importance of our oceans and the creatures living within them. 

 

Covering over 70% of the planet, the ocean generates at least 50% of Earth's oxygen. And yet, only a small fraction of it has been explored.

 

Our goal for 2030 to protect at least 30% of our lands, waters, and oceans.

Two victories in 2023: nations have committed to safeguarding 30% of areas within their jurisdiction and designating 30% of international waters as protected zones by 2030.
