Another camp has come to an end. This one was a special one. The reason is that we merged a Belgium group with a group of Coastal cleaning, in order to offer them international experience. We have started the camp with an explanation of why we have decided to have mostly meat and fish-free camp.. . .

The work camp was held in Hveragerði, a town that is renowned for greenhouse gardening and its geothermal springs. Since the whole town was preparing for the upcoming Flower festival (Blóm Í Bæ Festival), our main tasks were mostly connected with the preparation of the town for the festival.. . .

My first camp it’s just finished!
We left Reykjavik the 2 nd of June at 7 in the morning and after 8 hours we finally reached the camp location. The host is set in the Highlands of Iceland (literally in the middle of nowhere), and it is the highest farm of the country. Here the weather. . .

The formula for a happy stay in Iceland while participating in a photomarathon with SEEDS: spend the arrival evening having a picnic in the Botanical Garden of Reykjavik. Next day, set out on an adventure to Viðey Island to see Reykjavík from a different angle and have a look at the Imagine Peace. . .

We have just finished our first Botanical Gardens camp of 2019! And this means that... Summer is just around the corner!!
This is the first of 9 camps that will be carried out until September, in the Grasagardur botanical garden of the city of Reykjavik.

Whale protest

On Sunday, we participated in the anti-whaling protest with other local associations in front of the Parliament.
Our volunteers were really motivated to take part in this strike and they used their drawing talents to create some signs and banners!

Climate Strike March

Today our volunteers from China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea and Spain, took part in the climate strike in Reykjavik.
They joined the protest at Austurvollur square, the main public square in the city.
