SEEDS, with the support of the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, offers opportunities to young people aged 18 to 30 to volunteer in Iceland for a specific period of time (usually 5 months).
These programmes promote the mobility of young people through international activities with a non-formal education dimension such as youth exchanges, voluntary services, youth initiatives and training of youth workers.

European Solidarity Corps
Each year we host ESC volunteers in cooperation with partner organisations around Europe.
Our ESC projects are usually 5 months long and the volunteer can usally apply for one of the following positions:
However, currently there is a vacancy for the Communication & PR Volunteer - volunteers who are based in our office in Reykjavík and who assist in being a communication link between local and partner organisations from other countries; keeping up-to-date quality and performance procedures; creation and management of online content in SEEDS social media accounts; and participating in SEEDS artistic, cultural and educational activities. They also participate in our social solidarity projects in Reykjavík.
Duration of the next activities: June 22nd 2026 - November 28th 2026 (5 months)
Vacancies: 8 spaces for volunteers from Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, or Spain.
Deadline to apply: 26th of May 2026 at 16.00 (GMT).
Selection/interview process: May/June - dates to be announced.
