If you want to meet the man who is able to lift 120 kg heavy stones or other crazy activities like pulling car, this project is exactly for you. Viking festival offered many opportunities like  traditional handcrafting, target practicing, demonstration of power etc. You, as a volunteer, can take part in all these activities.

You will also have the possibility to watch lazy and very cute seals: Hvammstangi is famous for seals watching. If you are lucky and the sea is  raging you will experience thrill from really wild journey on the ocean. If you survive that experience, it is really unforgettable.

However the most valuable experience for me was to take part in the preparation of festival in Hvammstangi. Its unique opportunity get an insight in the life of an icelandic community.
