SEEDS 12. Skagafjörður - Renovation of a historical site
28.05.2011

Holar is an old Icelandic small town in the North of Iceland and it is situated in the plain fjords of Skagafjörður. Here we spent our time for two weeks in the beginning of June 2011. We were preparing the campsite for future tourists, painting benches and summerhouses and taking down old fences.

Meeting our chef was one of the best moments of the day, because he was very talkative, knowing a lot of spicy Icelandic stories and always found time to talk with us during our meals. Some of us could even taste horsemeat on our last dinner. In June, even if it is the beginning of summer we experienced quite a lot of snow and wind. We had a great time and it was a nice work in the Holar town.
