SEEDS Conference on the Environment 2010- Volunteering for Iceland
05.11.2010

SEEDS is celebrating its fifth birthday and on that occasion will be hosting a Conference on the Environment in co-operation with the Icelandic Environment Association and the Environment Agency of Iceland.

Sustainability is one of the most important issues to be addressed in our daily-lives in Iceland. Sustainable development and reasonable usage of our natural resources in essential for our future welfare. We will present exemplary environmental best practices and discuss how international volunteering fosters change towards environmental sustainability.

Kristín Linda Árnadóttir, the General Director for the Environment Agency of Iceland, will give the opening speech, and Ómar Ragnarsson, journalist and environmentalist, will be the guest of honour.
