SEEDS 072. Meet us - don’t eat us (4:6)
28.07.2015

The volunteers of Meet Us Don’t Eat Us workcamp stayed two weeks in Reykjavik, taking part in a campaign aiming at informing the tourists about whaling in Iceland. They were approaching people in the streets of Reykjavik in order to talk about this issue and sign anti-whaling postcards for the Ministry of fisheries. The volunteers had the opportunity to go and protest in front of a whaling station as well.

During their stay in Iceland, they also went whale watching, visited some parts of Iceland and got to know Reykjavik lifestyle through hot pots, cinema, music and ice cream. The volunteers lived all together and get to know each other's cultures through cooking, games and so on. These two weeks were rewarding through this important campaign, but fun and unforgettable as well for these people coming from all over the world - and already planned to meet again next summer!
