SEEDS 004. Environmentally aware: in Reykjavík
06.02.2015

A very lucky small group of volunteers spent 8 days in Reykjavik learning about environmental issues and sustainability in Iceland, recycling, and helping the whale protection movement.

The work camp was set in the capital, with the accommodation in front of a park which allowed great views of the northern lights. The volunteers got a glimpse into the Reykjavik lifestyle and the history and culture of Iceland, and tested their photography skills, particularly during the trips outside the city.

Why a lucky group? Amazing winter weather, northern lights for 4 consecutive nights, Swiss chocolate, Korean noodles, innovative Italian ways of walking on ice, Taiwanese dance moves, and the company of beautiful People – mix all of these together and you get a great experience, especially from the perspective of a first-time camp leader!
